MUZIKMAN SAM
Muzikman Sam (Samuel Williams-Goodrich) is a two-time GRAMMY®-nominated producer, pianist, and music director whose work bridges classical musicianship with contemporary hip-hop, R&B, gospel, and orchestral-influenced production. Classically trained since the age of four, he is recognized for his technical precision, musical range, and leadership in both studio and live performance environments.
From 2013 to 2017, Samuel produced and toured internationally as pianist for Canada’s Queen of Soul, Jully Black, an experience that sharpened his artistry on major stages and strengthened his foundation as both a musical director and live performer. He received GRAMMY® recognition for his work on JID’s God Does Like Ugly, including the track “K-Word,” where he is credited as both producer and songwriter. He is also credited as producer and songwriter on GloRilla’s “Rain Down on Me.” Both albums were nominated for Rap Album of the Year. His recording credits further include piano performances on Wale’s 2025 album Everything Is A Lot and on Rapsody’s 2023 release Please Don’t Cry.
As Music Director and pianist for JID, Muzikman Sam has performed on global stages, completing a sold-out world tour. His live performance work includes the widely viewed NPR Tiny Desk Concert with JID in 2022, as well as national television appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live! (2024) and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (2025). Known for his dynamic live setup, he frequently performs across multiple keyboards simultaneously, including piano, organ, synthesizers, and keytar.
In the gospel and orchestral space, Muzikman Sam produced Charles Jenkins Christmas, a big band–influenced project for GRAMMY®-nominated and Stellar Award-winning artist Charles Jenkins. Raised in the church and grounded in a Seventh-day Adventist musical tradition, he continues to serve while maintaining an active recording and touring career.Rooted in discipline yet driven by innovation, Muzikman Sam continues to build a body of work that reflects excellence across genres and platforms. Whether crafting records in the studio, directing live performances on global stages, or shaping orchestral and gospel productions, his commitment remains the same: to create music marked by depth, precision, and lasting cultural impact
